Desert Series 2 - Romantic Night in the Desert
I really like the desert and think that it's one of the most romantic place. One of my friend back in high school really loves a starry night. We will stay up late after school to see the stars. However, you can't see much in a big city, where I lived. In a desert, you have the most amazing night filled with millions of stars.
This is a piece done when I visited a desert garden with my mom several years ago. Years later, I visited the same place with several friend, the stars were still as shinny as ever.
In this piece, I use more bright colors and gave it a cuter feel while still portrait the desert and the starry night. I was constructing a story when I did the art: a young boy traveling, finding his way, his calling, confused a bit, struggling a bit, and finally see the light and chased his dream.
